COLOUR BLIND

An idea that has become a life long personal project.

An idea that has come to life..

Antonio Martez embarked on a journey of discovery when an inquiry spark his wonderment of women he would see in Walmart during his weekend shopping. These women were different, beautiful, but unique. Their beauty truly resonated with Antonio, but more so it peaked his interests. What Antonio saw was Muslim women wearing a head-covering known as the Hijab. As many women of that muslim faith, all was exposed to the general public was the eyes that peeked from behind this covering. Antonio would see so many gorgeous eyes colors, eye shapes, and eye shadows showcasing this minimal view of these women. As a creative, Antonio wanted to truly express what he saw of beauty fused with his creativity and interpretation.

Eyes Are Windows

As you look into the eyes of the women of “COLOUR BLIND” you can’t help but to wonder about their beauty and uniqueness. Antonio Martez’s signature style which he coined as his interpretation of Miami, where his photographic journey began, of bold, vibrate, colorful, and intentional can be seen in all the imagery of this on-going passion project.

Make it stand out.

As Antonio’s intention, the goal was to make each image of this project stand out with deliberacy and purpose as he wanted the viewer of the image to engage with the image with wonder and thought.
